Watercolor Moments Venice & Paris

The creative path....the life of an Artist is one I am so grateful to have taken. This year has been one of the most abundant for me. In many ways. Creatively. Spiritually. And in terms of personal growth, which for me is a life long invitation and adventure. Beautiful thing is, all these areas of life work in harmony together.

Artistically, I explored several new directions, one of them being my Venetian Horizons. Some of this I have shared here. There are others series in the works and I will look forward to sharing them with you.

I’ve enjoyed a series of wonderful workshops this year, taken at intervals with which I can spend the time to bask in their gifts. Some took place in a monastery. Some were in NYC. And some were taken online, through the comfort of my home. Just as I love the thrill of travel, adventure, and the unknown, I too love the everyday, the ordinary, and a slower pace to life. I hope that my art, and my style of painting, conveys and celebrates both of these beautiful ways of seeing and being in the world. Tranquility. Dreams. Adventures. Grandeur and Simplicity. And always, Beauty.

I’ve also been redesigning the spaces that surround me, and where I make my art. I’ve collected quite a few images of antique maps during my travels, and have framed them in my home. Beautiful as they are, I’ll be taking them down, and replacing them with images that remind me a bit more intimately of the places I remember most fondly. These include not only my own watercolors, but works by fellow artists in Italy and France.

I’ve redesigned and opened my shop of original watercolors and archival editions. I am also opening my studio doors to taking commissions.

I hope you might find something that you would love to adorn your home with, or to gift a fellow lover of art and travel.

And if you’d like to be the first to see new works, and hear about my upcoming creative travels, subscribe to “Letters from my Art Studio” or follow me on Instagram.
